Diverse & Proud

supportive conversations on mental health - project in development

The issue:

In this challenging world, those of us that identify as migrants or from other marginalised backgrounds face intersectional challenges - not just mental health struggles of daily life, but racial trauma from having to face ongoing racism, discrimination or microaggressions. Therapy and access to mental health services are essential, however, we acknowledge the gap for safe spaces for young people from these communities to simply be heard and acknowledged.

Co-designing a solution:

We have heard the need for safe spaces where we can collectively share our struggles facilitated with an intersectional lens, and with qualified mental health professionals present. We are inviting individuals and community groups that serve migrant or marginalised communities to co-design this project with us.

We held our first co-design session on 21 September. If you would like to be part of the co-design process, please get in touch.
